Farming that gives back

Regenerative agriculture draws on techniques farmers have used for generations: cover crops, crop rotation, less tilling and grazing animals. Over the last decade fashion brands have begun sourcing cotton from farms that use them, and certification programmes have emerged to verify the claims.

How it's grown

Fields are kept covered between crops, disturbed as little as possible and rotated with plants that return nutrients to the soil. Healthier soil holds more water and carbon. Once harvested, the cotton is ginned, spun and made into fabric like any other.
