Bamboo is a grass, and some species are among the fastest-growing plants on earth. It has been used across Asia for thousands of years for building, paper and tools. Its use in textiles is far more recent, and turning bamboo by-products into fibre is one of the newest steps.

Bamboo waste is broken down to extract its fibre, which is typically blended with other fibres to improve texture and performance before spinning. The yarn is then knitted or woven like any other fabric.
